Marx says about the relation of money and power:
“Das Geld ist aber selbst Ware, ein äusserliches Ding, das
Privategientum eines jeden werden kann. Die gesellschaftliche Macht wird so zur
Privatmacht der Privatperson.” (S. 146)
“Pero el dinero es él mismo mercancía, cosa externa que
puede hacerse propiedad privada de cualquiera. De este modo el poder social se
convierte en poder privado de la persona privada.” (pp. 144/5)
Here we are able to see the how social categories become private.
Builduing treasure does not only mean acumulating money, but due to the
asymetric relation between general equivalent and concrete commodity (and the
different posibilities to build treasures) money becomes power. What exactly
does it need to convert money into power? Which social order is required
therefore?
